Do you have a passion for Operations and driving performance? Then you might be our next Capacity Coordinator for the AFRICA LOC.
The Capacity Coordinator has responsibility for vessel utilization (in line with the rolling forecast targets) for a defined number of services. The Capacity Coordinator will execute full and empty flows in accordance with UTM and EQU instructions with a focus on bridging commercial desire and operational ability.

Key responsibilities
-Monitor bookings and optimize space by adjusting allocation between load ports, regions as well as ad hoc route adjustments.
-Adjust cargo loading (rolling, re-routing) in conjunction with UTM.
-Manage local allocations in coordination with the region.
-Optimize usage of space on all mother vessels and strings.
-Participate in and coordinate new deployments with Trade and work on capacity for long-term or short-term deployment.
-Support execution of empty plan by coordinating intensely with the equipment Team.
-Liaise with the procurement team as and when third party space is required.
-Seek to optimize the overall utilization of all services as well as bookings while creating optimal allocation adjustments between load ports, services, and ad hoc route adjustments within MVS.
-Execute all cargo loadings (rolling, re-routing) in conjunction with UTM.
-Supports execution of empty flow plan by coordinating with the equipment Team; Deliver input for coordination of new deployments as well as long term deployment of capacity.
-Identify and suggest continuous improvement possibilities in the ways of working as well as cost reductions through the SmartOPS process within the team.

-The job requires experience in a fast paced and executional demanding environment.
-Due to the high complexity of the position, with many stakeholders in many geographies and within a highly matrixes organization, it is expected that the ideal candidate can navigate in such an environment with ease.
-The successful candidate will be able to show the demonstrated ability to work in cooperation at various levels throughout the organization, not limited only to the Capacity, Equipment and EMR.
-The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the ML core business, Terminal Operations and the greater container business.
-A solid drive, interpersonal skills, resilience and sense of urgency will help you performing your tasks efficiently.
