Job Description:

 The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing the Software Defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure, including the security of these networks. The Network Engineer will maintain existing infrastructure and be the design authority to integrate new sites and businesses. The role will also manage service provider contractors.

Responsibilities:

  Managing and maintaining infrastructure hardware to maximize the availability, performance and security of the SDWAN/WAN/LAN.

Developing monitoring and performance analysis systems relating the network infrastructure.

Implementing best practices relating to network and cyber security. The role will be required to ensure that the business conforms to relevant standards.

Regularly audit and test the networks for any vulnerabilities.

Advise the organization on any potential threats and manage the resolution of them.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  BEng/BSc in relevant field of Engineering or Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Network Engineering.

3+ years’ relevant work experience.

Demonstratable experience in designing, implementing and supporting complex SDWAN/WAN/LAN networks.

High competency in managing Palo Alto, Juniper and Aruba network equipment.

Certified Information System Security Professional, (CISSP) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security or similar level certifications.

High proficiency in the Microsoft Office packages.
