Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer with a GCC Mine Manager Certificate to join their team in the Northern Cape.
Responsibilities:
Produce detailed strategic mine plans.
Defining planning parameters.
Reconciliation of key data points.
Ascertaining extraction risks, planning and implementing extraction systems.
Maximise planning and production through efficient system’s use.
Input into budgets and cost control.
Ensure that health, safety and environmental standards are adhered to.
Training and mentoring subordinates.
Requirements:
B.Tech or BSc Degree in Mining Engineering.
GCC Mine Manager Certificate.
Blasting ticket preferred.
7 years previous open pit mine engineering experience.
3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
Experience on various mine planning software programs.
Valid driver’s licence.
Contractual Information:
Permanent contract.
Relocation to the Northern Cape will be required.
