Job Description:

A global agricultural company specializing in the marketing and distribution of innovative crop production and life science brands with more than 200 active ingredients, has a New Opportunity for a Legal Associate.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the legality of commercial transactions

Advising the company on its legal rights and duties to abide by the laws of the geographies in which it operates

Protect he company against any legal risks

Ensure that the legal department processes are followed including the process for review of agreements

Timely coordination and responses in M&A Transactions

Developing and following best practices in the legal department

Timely drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements

Memorandum of understanding for various purposes, loan agreements, power of attorneys and confidentiality agreements.

Assisting the legal head in some key international disputes

Work with international law firms

Work with a reputable national and international law firm

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

B Com Law/ LLB

Admitted Attorney

5-10 years of experience

Understanding of litigation processes

Company secretarial experience

Experience of drafting and negotiating commercial documents

Must come from an agricultural organisation

Fluent English and French speaking and the ability to draft documents in French

Open to Candidates based in Durban, Johannesburg, Mauritius, Abidjan and Kenya
