Job Description:

A financial services giant is in search of an Internal Auditor with Insurance Industry experience to join their team in Cape Town. Your responsibility will include the execution of assurance and consulting audits within the company.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and reporting of audit findings

Assisting with and ensuring the implementation of the internal audit plan

Completion of internal audit projects

Adherence to the guidelines set out by the IIA

Provide input in the annual budget and forecast for internal audit as well as monitoring the performance against the assigned budgetary requirements

Assist with preparing reports for the ARC Committee

Assist in discussions with the EXCO team and conducting presentations for management along with the Head of Internal Audit

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

Relevant tertiary qualification (Audit)

CIA – not negotiable

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in auditing (at least 3 years in the insurance industry)

CFSA certified would be advantageous

TeamMate or other auditing automated working paper software such as CaseWare

IDEA/ACL experience

Previous experience interacting with executive management
