My Client, a leader in the online e-commerce sector, is in the process of recruiting an Internal Audit Manager to join their dynamic team.

Requirements:

Develop Internal Audit strategy and programs

Manage internal audit function, including allocating work and responsibilities to internal auditors

Facilitate the process for completing the strategic risk register with senior management, identifying and evaluation of risk areas and coordinating review and approval with the Audit Committee

Provide Board and Audit Committee feedback and manage stakeholder expectations

Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of Risk Management and Governance processes in line with audit plan

Design and execute test procedures and complete the annual audit program

Perform effective risk and control assessments

Review team members’ work for accuracy and compliance and signoff of audit reports

Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency

Experience and Qualifications:

10 years’ experience in internal auditing of which at least 5 Years must be in a Managerial position

Must hold the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation or CA(SA) with internal audit experience

Relevant Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree (Bcom) or other

In-depth knowledge and understanding of, as well as applying auditing and control practices

Thorough understanding of corporate governance, business, operational and financial risk management principles and be able to apply these in a practical, real world manner

Expertise in risk management and compliance

Project management ability

SQL scripting (advantageous)

IT Auditing (advantageous)

Risk Management and Governance auditing

Knowledge of relevant legislation including King IV, Companies Act, POPIA , CPA and National Credit Act, corporate governance frameworks and standards
