Job Description:

An innovative and diverse financial services giant is currently in search of an equally well-rounded individual to take up the role of Executive Director within the operations space.

Responsibilities:

Be involved in the full life cycle of operational strategies ensuring their alignment with the companies’ goals and standards

Remain up to date with industry trends and stakeholder engagement

Maintain a well-planned operational budget ensuring that financial objectives are met and in alignment with the company’s guidelines

Promote compliance of to legal guidelines and company regulations

Establish potential areas of improvement and ensure continuous development of processes, controls and procedures to improve the overall operational functioning of the business

Promote an effective governance model managing risk and ensuring the correct systems, procedures and controls are in place.

Cooperate well with other business units on a large scale ensuring the satisfaction of clients

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

10 – 15 years relevant financial services experience with a minimum of 6 years recent executive level experience

Relevant Finance related Degree with a finance/business postgraduate qualification.

Master of Business Administration would be an added advantage

Knowledge of Registry, Broker Back Office, Operations or CSDP would be advantageous

Previous experience and understanding of a STRATE, FSCA or JSE regulatory environment

Experienced in team management with great relationship skills

Proven experience with Strategic Planning
