A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Farm Manager to work for a large company based in Senegal.This will be working for a company leading modern agricultural production who grow and supply high quality vegetables and salads to some of the largest food retailers in Europe and the UK.

The Farm Manager will ideally have a good understanding of vegetable and salad crop production as well as health and safety and high food safety standards. They will be able to successfully manage a team and will be logical and flexible.

The successful Farm Manager will be responsible for:

The management of health and safety, including risk assessments and staff training
The planning and implementing Crop Production programmes
Making sure that the crops produced are in line with the highest environmental, ethical and food safety standards
The maintenance of machinery
Planning irrigation scheduling
Managing a team
Stock management
Candidate Requirements
Knowledge of irrigated vegetable and salad crop production
Understanding of health and safety
Knowledge of modern machinery
People management skills
Ideally an agricultural qualification and some understanding of the French language
