Super Novae recruits 01 Team Leader/ Technical Migration Expert

Super Novae is a not-for-profit development start up. Its work: creating development activities & technical supports in fragile & post-crisis countries with multilateral development agencies, to build a more sustainable economy, and choose a fairer and inclusive world. Our goal is to boost the economy of countries that need stabilization, and support them towards a green economy that can drive growth & employment. Super Novae participates in the implementation of projects financed by the main French and international institutions, in conflict or post-conflict countries with a well-experienced team.

In Libya, Super Novae has been entrusted, by the EU, with a 18 months project that aims at improving employability of vulnerable people in Tripoli and Sebha, with the possibility of extending the approach to other cities if/when relevant. The overall objective is to improve protection and economic resilience of 300 vulnerable individuals (including host communities, IDPs and Economic Refugees) through the setting-up of an institutional dialogue on economic migration and upskilling programme. This project will be implemented in close partnership with the Ministry of Labor – whom was associated in defining this project idea – and will focus on generating skills/jobs to support environmentally responsible businesses.

To implement this project, Super-Novae is looking for an international time leader based in Tripoli.

Expériences / Formation

The Team Leader will support relevant ministries including Ministry of Labour, MoFA and MoI to produce tools to support/ease registration of illegal foreign workers and support private sector representatives.

The Teal Lear will also manage financially and operationally the project in close liaison with donor and the partners. Then, the team leader will justify the following experience:

  • Experience in working with IDPs and Economic Refugees
  • Minimum ten experience delivering economic recovery solutions
  • Minimum ten years’ experience working in community development, refugee assistance, and/or community mobilization.
  • University degree preferably in communication, journalism, marketing, media, business administration, or related relevant fields.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work to time in a pressured environment; to work to a number of competing deadlines and to ‘multi-task.
  • Substantial senior management experience managing large scale multi-faceted international development programs and/or technical assistance facilities, with multiple partners and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, negotiate persuasively and manage relationships with high level decision makers in a politically sensitive manner, including donors, program partners and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, representation, organizational and interpersonal skills, both in-person and remotely.
  • Proven team leader with effective cross-cultural interpersonal skills and demonstrated record in leadership of people, building program team performance, and the ability to communicate and build a common vision.
  • Very good communication skills, creative and problem-solving oriented.
