Street Child works  recruits 01 Philanthropy Volunteer – Uganda

THE ROLE

Street Child works to improve access to and quality of education for children. Street Child works through local partners in the humanitarian and development sector, to increase education opportunities to children currently being denied this right. Uganda is home to 1.4 million refugees, fleeing the ongoing conflicts in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Street Child has supported these vulnerable communities since early 2018 and has recently expanded to support Ugandan children in rural and urban communities who are out of school. Street Child’s work across Uganda includes education, child protection and livelihoods programmes.

Funding is one of the most crucial parts to both starting and maintaining projects. Street Child is seeking skilled individuals to work with Street Child and local partners to improve their fundraising activities. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience with one of the world’s leading international development organisations, whilst learning more about the sector and gaining a direct insight into improving access to education for children across Uganda.
