GRET recruits 01 International expert in irrigation and water social management, Cambodia

GRET, French Development NGO, is looking for an international expert in irrigation and water social management (PIM, IMT, irrigation co-management), for joining a Technical Assistance team in support to Ministry of Water Resource and Meteorology (MoWRAM), Cambodia. The expert will closely work with the “Natural Resource Management” pool of GRET. He/she will be based in Cambodia, Phnom Penh, for a 4 years assignment…, with 2/3 time travelling within the country for coordinating and providing support to the decentralized TA team and PDoWRAM in 5 provinces. Work will mostly (but not exclusively) focus on facilitating the creation, registration, capacity building and institutional insertion and recognition (collaboration with PDoWRAM and participation to the Farmer Water Net – FWN) of Farmer Water User Communities (FWUC) in around 10 irrigation schemes and 40 preks, 20 000 ha.

Skills and experiences required: Master’s degree in in tertiary social science / Preferably 10 years of combined international and national professional experience as community development, capacity building, local empowerment / Worked as FWUC development expert in at least two similar scale or type projects in the past 10 years / Relevant international experience and experience in similar environment / Excellent command of both written & spoken English and proficiency in using project related software and be computer literate / Physical health condition to perform the job with frequent travel to irrigation schemes / Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with various stakeholders, including government officials.
