The Elmley Foundation has announced the Small Grants Scheme for community groups in Herefordshire and Worcestershire planning arts events or purchases.

Cash Grants for NGOs to improve access to justice around the world
Conservation Grants to research and generate local solutions to environmental problems
Foundation Grants of up to € 100,000 to increase people’s resilience to disasters
Innovative grants to address poverty issues by helping communities reduce violence, promote peace and recover from crises
The Elmley Small Grants Arts Fund is a scheme designed for community groups who want to pay professional artists to open up new opportunities to create new work, reach new audiences and enable people from all walks of life to take part in arts and cultural activities. The Fund is intended to support
small, local projects.

There are two funds – Events and Activities and Arts Equipment.

Events and Activities: The Elmley Small Grants Arts Fund is a scheme designed for community groups who want to pay professional artists to open up new opportunities to create new work, reach new audiences and enable people from all walks of life to take part in arts and cultural activities. The Fund is intended to support small, local projects. In addition, priority will be given to projects which address one or more of the following:
Are locally generated and controlled;
Demonstrate artistic vision and imagination;
Happen in areas where there is little or no existing arts activity ;
Encourage and develop participation in new arts activities;
Encourage new audiences to experience high quality arts activities;
Enable the involvement of people who might otherwise be prevented or deterred from participating.
Arts Equipment: The Elmley Small Grants Arts Fund has a capital scheme to help with the purchase by community groups of arts equipment for small, local projects. In addition, priority will be given to purchases which feature one or more of the following:
Are locally generated and controlled;
Equipment used regularly or where there are plans for long-term usage;
Located in areas where there is little or no existing arts activity;
Encourage and develop participation in new arts activities;
Encourage new audiences to experience high quality arts activities;
Equipment which will be used by more than one group;
Small local community projects.

Both offer up to all the projected cost, to a maximum of £1,000.
Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a grant from Events and Activities Fund, your application must:
Take place within the Counties of Herefordshire or Worcestershire;
Involve expenditure on professional artists in its creation or development;
Have a total cost of no more than £10,000.
To be eligible for a grant from Arts Equipment Fund, your application must:
Be for arts equipment to be used in Herefordshire or Worcestershire;
Have a total cost of no more than £5,000.
Please note that they will not fund:

Applications from schools or other educational organizations; Local Authorities or other statutory bodies;
Activities exclusively for school children or college students in school/college time;
Capital grants (you may be eligible to apply for our Arts Equipment grant);
Applications from individuals;
Projects where the person submitting the application will get paid from the grant;
Projects with a total cost of over £10,000;
Projects which have already started or taken place;
Events intended to raise funds for non‐arts causes;
Requests to pay off loans or deficits.
