We are currently looking for a seasoned professional to join our team in Liberia as the Facility Manager.
He/she will be responsible for accountable for the safe and efficient execution of repairs, planned maintenance activities and projects within the terminal.

Key responsibilities
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
SAFETY➢Ensure all repairs, planned maintenance activities and the projects within the terminal are executed safely with the aim of reducing risks to as low as reasonably possible.➢Ensure the safety of all technicians working within their team, leading by example in their own behaviours and practices.➢Ensure all equipment under their responsibility is maintained in accordance with local legislation and standards specified by APMT global functions➢Ensure that all equipment brought by the vendors for internal jobs have maintenance record and can work safely on our facility
PERFORMANCE➢Ensures that the facilities are maintained and repaired in a cost-effective manner, with consideration given to quality and customer service.➢Oversees the maintenance and repair of all of the port buildings, including electricity, plumbing, painting, air conditioning, carpentry and masonry work.➢Ensures landscaping, gardening, parking lots, grounds and surroundings are regularly and attractively maintained.➢Negotiates and oversees sub-contractors that are working on specific projects, related to repair and construction.➢Ensures all project design studies for all maintenance projects are completed to the necessary standards and specifications➢Ensure all cost estimates are completed to all necessary standards and specifications using current available data.➢Ensures that all drawings associated with the port and port areas are up to date.➢Ensures all scope of works required for third party consultants are accurate and complete to the requirements, monitors the progress of third-party consultants and is responsible for approval of the designs and specifications produced.➢Ensures third party contractors are completing works in accordance with design specifications and standards, to cost and program and when required reporting any deviation from design to ensure contractor completes to contract.➢Acts as the Project Leader for any maintenance activities within the Port.➢In conjunction with HSSE, issues safety rules and regulations for port accommodations; ensures safety items such as fire extinguishers, smoke alarms and fire alarms are available and operational.➢The position is required to constantly find better ways of handling what can be a job of quite a diverse nature in order to provide cost effective solutions.
STRATEGY➢Ensure maintenance strategies are developed for all buildings and components under the responsibility of the facility Manager, including all minimum requirements specified by Global Asset Maintenance.➢Lead the continuous review and improvement of facility maintenance strategies for buildings and components under their ownership.
ASSET INTEGRITY➢Accountable for ensuring the integrity of all buildings with their components under their ownership, considering the conditions of the components, through development and execution of appropriate preventive, predictive and inspection activities
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT➢Ensure the most efficient use of their team, working closely with the Work Planner and Scheduler to ensure work is planned accurately and scheduled realistically.
COST MANAGEMENT➢Develop budget for all planned preventive and corrective maintenance related to facility➢Proactively track and manage cost of maintenance of facility, intervening when costs escalate and identifying ways to reduce costs
We are looking for➢Minimum bachelor’s degree in constructions.➢Minimum 5 years’ experience in an operational M&R or facility management related environment.➢Strong leadership and motivational skills➢Experience in a strong service oriented, stakeholder-management-required environment.➢Understanding of Facility planning metrics, principles, its processes and requirements➢Practical, planning and work scheduling capabilities, ready to improve and challenge the status quo➢Understanding of (APMT used) software data systems and their interfaces.➢Structured, driven, self-motivating, result orientated➢Highly disciplined – following through on actions and ensuring necessary documentation➢Sensitive to cultural diversity and experience in a multicultural environment, with respect to employees, local authorities and other stakeholders➢Strong communication skills and ability to influence➢Excellent English written and verbal communicationPOSTULER
