Internationally Mobile 12 month Fixed Term Contract Do you want to play a key role in an organisation which stands up for children every single day? Then join us as Vaccine and Epidemics Advisor, supporting field humanitarian programmes, capacity building and policy/guidance within the thematic areas of vaccination and epidemic alert. In our Humanitarian department, we fight for children every single day. We integrate emergency and development work, through our country programmes. We increase our capacity to meet the assistance and protection needs of children and their families affected by crises. We go the extra mile – and we don’t rest until the work is done. As Vaccine and Epidemics Advisor, you will be support our organisation to scale up its epidemic preparedness and response capacity to inform, detect, investigate and confirm outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases and other epidemic prone diseases and help to ensure that there is capacity to deliver epidemic disease control strategies during humanitarian crises. In addition, you will provide more generalist humanitarian health support as part of surge capacity for response to now sudden emergencies globally. You will also:
To be successful you will have strong experience in the design, planning, implementation and evaluation of intervention to respond to epidemics in emergencies, including diarrhoeal diseases outbreaks. Fluency in English and the ability to travel at short notice up to 50% of the time is also essential. In addition you will have:
