Positioning and reportingUnder the authority of the Deputy Director General (International Standards and Science), and the supervision of the Head of the Antimicrobial Resistance and Veterinary Products Department as part of the team working on the collection of data on antimicrobial use in animals.
Job purposeThe Data Information Management Officer for antimicrobioal use at  field level  supports improved transparency in antimicrobial use (AMU) data worldwide by participating in the research and development of field level AMU data collection projects at national, regional and international level. He/she will also support the global AMU data collection, verification and update of data from Member and non-member countries to the OIE. He/she further contributes to the provision of data analysis and trend monitoring as well as to the preparation of regular reports on the global situation. He/she also contributes to capacity building of member countries through the delivery of national focal point (NFP) trainings and regional technical coordination meetings.
Missions and activitiesParticipate in the management of AMU-related data in relation to field level AMU data·       Support the function of the department as data owner for all AMU-related data (including defining and monitoring data mapping, data protection and access rights, data management rules etc.)·       Support in the design and review of field level AMU projects, including development of field level AMU data collection methodologies, scope of collected data, data verification workflow, etc;·       Liaise with countries, external experts and OIE regional and sub-regional representations to provide support in the development and implementation of field level AMU data collection projects;·       Contribute to initiatives to strengthen or upgrade the AMU Global Database, in collaboration with the IT Unit;·       Support the Working Group on AMR as required;·       Participate in the development of communication on field level AMU and the AMU database including outputs.Contribute to the collection and analysis of AMU data·       ational·       Participate in the review and improvement of the AMU Global Database and supporting documentation;·       Liaise with National Focal Points (NFPs) on collection issues and provide support in the provision of annual data;·       Contribute to the monitoring of collected data to identify inconsistencies and liaise with NFPs to address information gaps as required;·       Perform analysis of the collected data as required;·       Contribute to the preparation of the OIE Annual Report on Antimicrobial Agents Intended for Use in Animals.Ensure the development of field level AMU data collections in alignment with the global AMU data collection:·       Support OIE Regional and Sub-regional Representations in piloting AMU field level monitoring data collection methodologies in selected countries, particularly in Asia and Africa;·       Development of a minimum requirement list for the field level data collection in alignment with the AMU Global Database·       Building on ongoing projects to explore methodological options for developing field level use monitoring programs·       Scoping the potential for integrating field level AMU data in the OIE AMU Global DatabaseProvide support to Member Countries to improve data provision·       Develop a training programme targeted to field level AMU data collection·       Support the organisation of training seminars·       Evaluate and improve the training content and structureProvide technical advice and support on the work of the Department·       Contribute to the preparation of responses to enquiries from Member Countries and other stakeholders;·       Prepare relevant documents and undertake analysis as required.
