Background

The iMMAP Global Partnership and Surge Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the iMMAP Planning and Development Director. The position is focused on managing internal ressources related to surge capacity and relationship with partners. The role is also to represent iMMAP at the UN, Clusters, NGO and donors level in Geneva in view to implement more collaborative project and to rinforce current iMMAP surge programs.

Description of Duties
  • Lead the SBP program and manage the team of stand-by Partner personnel.
  • Representation of iMMAP with all UN/Clusters SBP organizations: OCHA, FAO, WFP, IOM, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNHCR and UNDP.
  • Representation of iMMAP at all Global Cluster membership: Global Health, Nutrition, Food Security, Protection and WASH Clusters.
  • Lead and implement LTA surge program: UNICEF, UNHCR and WHO worldwide.
  • Manage all other ad-hoc surge activities such as WASH FST, GICHD deployment.
  • Maintain, develop and expand global surge capacity and fundraising strategy.
  • Explore and develop new partnerships at UN level (UNEP, UNMAS, UNHABITAT…)
  • Business Development of new donors supporting surge activities via SBP, LTAs, MoUs such as EU/ECHO, FCDO, bilateral traditional donors, USAID etc…
  • Develop SBP and surge programs with new INGOs partners via MoU and/or LTAs such as IMC, ACF, STC, HI, etc…
  • Develop and implement M&E and impact assessment methodology, tools and SOP for all surge programs.
  • Participe to all relevant proposal writing providing an added value to the organization, development of project, concept note, budget, monitoring and evaluation, and implementation process, from donors to the field level.
  • Attend all meetings, workshops, conferences, humanitarian, and development events related to this portfolio
  • Representation and communication of iMMAP activities.
Requirements
  • At least 10 working years of working experience of humanitarian IM operations with increasing responsibility in the field of coordination and management.
  • At least 5 years of donors and partners relationship experience.
  • Very good understanding of information management technologies.
  • Advanced university degree or related training in project management, coordination and/or Information management.
  • Strong management, planning and organization skills.
  • Very good knowledge of donors and funding mechanisms.
  • Proven ability and experience interacting with a wide range of organizations including UN/cluster agencies, INGOs partners and donors.
  • Fluent in English and French is mandatory (written and spoken), spanish and/or Arabic will be an asset.
