Call for Applications for five Humanities Initiatives Programs (United States)
Deadline: 20-May-21
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Education Programs is accepting applications for the five Humanities Initiatives programs: Humanities Initiatives at Colleges and Universities, Humanities Initiatives at Hispanic-Serving Institutions, Humanities Initiatives at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Humanities Initiatives at Tribal Colleges and Universities, and Humanities Initiatives at Community Colleges.
The purpose of these programs is to strengthen the teaching and study of the humanities at institutions of higher education by developing new humanities programs, resources (including those in digital format), or courses, or by enhancing existing ones.
NEH welcomes applications for projects that are modest in scope, duration, and budget, as well as applications for expansive, long-term projects. Projects may, but need not be, related to the cultural identity of the applicant institution. For example, it would be allowable for a HispanicServing Institution to submit a proposal on ancient Greek drama.
