ACF recruits 01 Advocacy Advisor

Responsibilities: Within the Expertise and Advocacy Department, you will be in charge of:

• Advocacy on issues related to forced displacement and migration, especially in the countries of origin
• Advocacy on humanitarian issues, in particular on priority crises
• Other topics, including nutrition/hunger advocacy

More precisely, your missions will be:

• Developing of the advocacy strategy at the EU level and monitoring of relevant issues
  • Collect and monitor information on the forced displacement
  • Review and analysis of relevant documentation and mapping of actors
  • Write / support writing an ACFIN strategy on people on the move at the EU level, related messages and talking lines, briefings, positions and other useful documents for advocacy

• Implementating the EU advocacy strategy
  • Develop and cultivate relations at policy level and influence decision. Represent Action Against Hunger at the EU level.
  • Participate in meetings of coordination groups on the relevant issues in Brussels, disseminate ACF messages and report on on-going work
  • Organize public activities and confidential meetings in Brussels on the relevant issues
  • Offer positioning of ACF on the thematic of vulnerable migrants on the medium- long term and support the implementation of ACF advocacy strategy regarding humanitarian and nutrition issues at the EU level

• Supporting to missions (in support to regional/national advocacy officers)
  • Maintain regular information to the missions on the evolution of the debates at the EU level
  • Identify advocacy opportunities at local regional and international levels
  • Support the development of relevant advocacy in missions
  • Collect evidence on the issue of displacement
  • Networking, mapping of stakeholders and organization of meetings

Autonomous and rigorous, you have excellent editorial and interpersonal skills, and know how to communicate effectively. Fluent English required.

Salary Conditions : 46K€ to 60K€ upon experience, meal voucher of 6,91€, transport allowance, hospitalization insurance, pension insurance of 6%, 30 days of paid leaves

Position taking: as soon as possible

Specific conditions and skills: Prolonged sitting, oral expression, screen work, telephone contact, mobility and frequent international travel.
