WIEGO recruits 01 Website Migration Consultant
Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO) is a global network focused on securing livelihoods for the working poor, especially women, in the informal economy. We believe all workers should have equal economic opportunities and rights. WIEGO creates change by building capacity among informal worker organizations, expanding the knowledge base about the informal economy and influencing local, national and international policies.
WIEGO is seeking a consultant to assist in tasks relating to the migration of multilingual content on the WIEGO website to the relevant Spanish and French language sites, as well as improving the searchability of our website by adding and improving keywords to pages, posts, and already existing content. The role will also involve developing a database of publication, resources and other documents in three languages (English, Spanish and French).
The consultant will work remotely from home, with remote guidance and support from WIEGO’s Webmaster and Website Curator. This is a short term, part time position, starting as soon as possible, until 31st March 2022.
The consultant will need fluent English, Spanish and French language skills. Any experience working with a content management system is desirable, in particular Drupal. You will also need to be able to work autonomously, have good attention to detail and be able to work collaboratively with others in a virtual environment. Finally, you should also have an interest in or experience of issues surrounding informal work or those relating to social justice.
