WIEGO recruits 01 Digital Communications Officer
Remote position - Home-Based Location
WIEGO is a global action-research-policy network that seeks to improve the status of the working poor in the informal economy, especially women. Worldwide, an estimated two billion people — 61 percent of all working people in the world and 70 percent of those working in middle- and low-income countries — work in the informal economy, meaning that they lack the labour and social protections that help smooth income, protect against risk, and keep households out of poverty.
Reporting to the Digital Engagement and Media Manager, we are seeking an experienced and multilingual Digital Communications Officer to coordinate our social media channels and email marketing efforts. We expect that this position will be based on working 4 days per week, on an annual renewable contract basis.
Working in collaboration with the Communications Team, you will be responsible for developing plans for the sharing and promotion of WIEGO content and campaigns across WIEGO’s social media and email marketing channels. You will be responsible for developing and managing content on our social media channels and design the production of visual materials for social media dissemination.

Expériences / Formation
We are seeking someone with experience in managing social media and email marketing, with significant experience in planning, developing and implementing online advocacy campaigns. You will need to be confident using PhotoShop, Canva or other graphic design tools. You will be fluent in English and have a good command of French and or Spanish, with the ability to develop text for social media in all three languages.
Salaire
The Digital Communications Officer will work from home, supplying their own computer equipment and a strong Internet connection. Salary is dependent on experience, location and the role profile as defined by WIEGO’s Remuneration Policy– this will be discussed with the successful candidate.
