Description

The position is to be filled by January1, 2020, with an initial contract duration of three years.  Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. Please note that applications might be forwarded to Consortium Partners.

From January 2020 onwards Welthungerhilfe will be implementing a programme in a consortium with three other international NGOs. The goal of the programme is to build emergency response capacity for 40 local partner organizations in eight countries. As Finance and Processmanager for this program, you are responsible for all Finance- and Process-related activities of the global programme in close collaboration with the Finance Manager of the consortium parnters as well as the Financestaff in the project countries.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Manage finances and processes related to the compliance with GFFO (AA) Programme Holder Contract.
  • Initiate and conduct processes related to the setting-up, signing, and compliance of the Forwarding Contracts between the Consortium Contract Holder and the Programme Contract Holder.
  • Execute quality assurance on narratives and financial statements received from Consortium Contract Holders
  • Manage processes and finances related to financial audits of Forwarding Contracts with Consortium Contract Holders and audits of Programme Contract Holder
  • Manage processes and finances related to Code of Conduct compliance in the Localisation Programme
  • Consolidation of financial overviews of the programme budget and Monitoring of budget expenses
  • Preparation of the finalcial reports for the GFFO
  • Focalperson for all financial and process-related aspects for the financial staff of the consortium partner
  • Financial coordination of the progreamme incl. cashflows and forecasts

 

Your profile

  • A university or polytechnic degree and methodological competence in the field of finance and administration
  • At least 3 years experience in Humanitarian Assistance and/or Development work
  • Experiences with the financial managment of programmes
  • Knowledge / Experiences with the management of programmes funded by GFFO
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, French and Spanish language skills are an advantage
