How you’ll help us achieve itWe’re looking for an Accounting Assistant who’s resourceful and excited about getting things done. You’ll be responsible forsupporting the financial lead and various accounting tasks as we rapidly scale our business in Benin.
In this role, you’ll :Support the finance and accounting manager in finance workAnalyze the admissibility of invoices and supporting documents from a tax perspectivesRecord invoices in the dedicated accounting module, prepare and record the suppliers payment (Bank Transfer,check)Ensure the Fixed Asset Register is maintained updatedEnsure updating, tracking and classification of advances given to the employeesParticipate in the elaboration and the filing of periodical tax and social returnEnsure the classification of all the accounting supporting document, from an audit and tax perspectivesParticipate in the monthly financial closeIssue invoices to customers and external partners, as neededParticipate in quarterly and annual audits.

Requirements2+ years of experience in a similar position preferably in an international companyBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similarProficiency in French and EnglishProficiency with excel and accounting software
