ACTIVITIES, DELIVERABLES, AND TIMELINES, PLUS BUDGET PER DELIVERABLE
Activities:
Support the implementation of the UNICEF/NCCM AWP focusing on output 3.5
Liaise the above with NCCM SG for approval and comments and prepare presentations and notes for clarification when needed
Design and costed action plan to establish a coordination mechanism focusing on SBCC intervention related to girls’ empowerment initiative, EVAC and Children on the Move.
Support the design, production and dissemination of Awladna Campaign related content/activities.
Facilitate capacity building opportunities on SBCC for NCCM staff and/or other relevant partners including CPCs.
Facilitate the process to institutionalize the positive parenting expert network.
Support the implementation of a social marketing strategy to enhance demand for the Child Help Line.
Support evidence-based programming related to output 3.5 relevant areas including parenting formative research.
Support advocacy and policy brief publication in partnership with NCCM Child Rights Observatory.
Deliverables (all in English)
1.Monthly progress report.
2.Costed action plan to establish a coordination mechanism focusing on SBCC intervention related to girls’ empowerment initiative, EVAC and Children on the Move.
TOTAL
 QUALIFICATIONS, SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, AND ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES
 Extensive experience in the organization and management of road shows and community engagement events.
Ability to deliver products on time and within budget.
Strong understanding of UNICEF’s communication for development role.
Experience to work with government counterparts and international organizations.
At least 5 years of community mobilization experience in Egypt, preferably in the selected governorates.
CONDITIONS OF WORK
 An advanced university degree (Ph.D. preferred but not required) in the social sciences (i.e. sociology, psychology, public health, economics) or behavioral sciences or directly related technical fields.
Significant experience (10+ years) conducting social and behavioral change interventions for development/child protection or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in designing and managing complex, multi-stakeholder interventions, working in team.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within agreed deadlines and with attention to details.
Sensitivity to diversity and socio-political context.
Experience working in the UN or other international development organizations an asset.
Fluency in Arabic and English (written & verbal) is required.
NOTE FOR CONSULTANTS AND INDIVIDUAL CONTRACTORS:

Detailed curriculum vitae including a description of main achievements;
Submission of a writing sample of a report of previous qualitative research;
Minimum of three client references that include the name of the contact person, title and contact information.
A detailed Financial Proposal quoted in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) which must outline:
Overall fees for 242 working days
Any costs to be incurred related to the consultancy, including field visits
