ACTIVITIES, DELIVERABLES AND TIMELINES, PLUS BUDGET PER DELIVERABLE
Technical support for the operationalization of CPCs and case management in CP units and in MOSS at the governorate-level:
Provide technical input and coordination to the planning process of the implementing of activities by NGO partners.
Facilitate networking and collaboration with other local and international partners.
Contribute to the operationalization of the case management unit. Provide technical input and facilitate coordination between MoSS and other governmental partners, NGOs in the design, preparation and monitoring of the case management unit at sub-national levels.
Provides technical assistance in the design, preparation and monitoring of developing specialized protocols for serious forms of violence and of safe houses at the governorate-level.
Operational support to Governorate AWP implementation:
Carry out the coordination, facilitation between governorate counterparts, NGOs and others.
Carry out ongoing documentation of project activities, workshops, consultations taking place and field visits. Ensure regular monitoring and quality assurance of project activities.
Conduct field visits to existing project areas, to assess implementation and monitor progress. Collect information, identify problems, constraints.
Analyze collected data and information to prepare progress reports; draft changes in work plans and assist in identification of required supplies and equipment.
Support the preparation and coordination of knowledge dissemination products to facilitate knowledge sharing between program partners.
Facilitate and organize capacity development activities for key governate-level stakeholders.
Support to country office program management:
Support the preparation of program planning documents; donor reports, annual reports, mid-term/annual review reports as well as documents to be shared with external counter-parts, agencies etc.
Support with the coordination of program activities at the governorate-level, preparation and review of implementation documents (ToRs, contracting documents, budgets, partner reports, program evaluations etc).
Support the availability of accurate, complete and up-to-date information required for effective programming and project design, implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation at the governorate-level.
Assist with needs assessment and situation analysis, contribute to prioritization of programme interventions and planning conducted at the governorate-level. Proposes adjustments in strategies and operational procedures affecting project implementation and management at the governorate-level.
Support partnership management and collaboration; build and sustain effective close working partnerships with governorate counterparts and stakeholders through active sharing of information and knowledge to facilitate program implementation and build capacity of stakeholders to achieve and sustain results on child protection. Provide technical input, review and edit partner proposals, budgets, technical quarterly reports, progress and evaluation reports.
Reporting required:
Monthly reports will be submitted to the supervisor including a monthly work plan and report.
Trip reports will be submitted to the supervisor at the conclusion of each trip.
Other assessment or analysis documents will be submitted to the supervisor as needed and as per the consultancy’s stated objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS, SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE AND ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES
A bachelor’s university degree is required in social sciences.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in child protection and project coordination is required.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in the target governorate is preferred.
Monitoring, documentation, and facilitation/training skills are required.
Previous experience with UNICEF or the UN system is preferred.
Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
CONDITIONS OF WORK
This consultancy will be carried out from the target governorate with monthly limited travel required to UNICEF office key counterparts in Cairo. Travel per diem to governorates other than the target governorate will be covered by UNICEF as per regulations.
