Support women’s empowerment in India !
Participate to women’s independance through the social project ANINDITA in South of Kolkata, Baruipur.
The social project ANINDITA – “free woman” in Sanskrit- has been launched in order to contribute to empowerment of women from fragile socio-economical background in India through creating employment to young girls and women.
What you can do :
- Participate to the global strategy of the project
- Help us to find new partners
- Participate to the commercial strategy of the project
- Search for new buyers, contact new buyers
- Participate to sale of products in Kolkata towards international visitors at the city center
- Check quality of the products made according to the French or European standards
- Make inventary and participate to stock management and general organisation of the workshop
- Develop the offer of the products, search for new ideas of products
- Plan and develop actions of communication
- Contribute to make the project internationaly known through community management, social networks
- Make photos and videos for the project, of women, workshop, products
- Make communication print supports : leaflets, brochures, portfolios in English/French/other languages
- Help us to write and improve our website (FR and ENG)
- Communicate with the French-Indian association Swadhin Yatra which has launched this project in 2016 and goes on to support it
- Help the women to develop their professional skills, if you have skills in sewing or tailoring
- Make research about women’s conditions in India
Anindita is a craft and social project which employs women who make textile accessories : tote bags, bags, purses, soap bags, pencil boxes, etc… sells in France, in India, and internationaly to schools, entreprises, associations and individuals.
What are the goals of ANINDITA :
- Contribute to the independance of women in India through sustainable employment
- Support professional training, education and literacy of women and their children and family
Where do you stay during your journey :
- Live a daily Indian life : you live in a Indian family and can share their daily life. You have your own bedroom with all the furniture and a private bathroom. You feast the delicious Indian food (without chilly) prepared with love by the family.
What can you bring for the project if you wish :
It would be very useful if you could bring instruments for stitching such as pins, pincushions, seam rippers, iron, thimbles, scissors ( tailor’s scissors, sewing scissors), duster, rotary cutter, thread nippers, tailor’s chalk, disappearing ink, ruler, bobbins, …
