The “Business Development Manager” (BDM) is a commercial role within Sealand Egypt cluster that has overall responsibility for the commercial and target development of all daughter countries in the cluster ”Lebanon, Syria & Libya)

Key responsibilities– Identifies market opportunities in the 3 countries- Compiles first level business case for Business opportunities- Compiles a road map for the daughter countries that is aligned of our global and Cluster strategy- Develops value propositions according to our clients needs and pain points- Provides local industry information and analysis to senior management- Maintains market awareness regarding market developments, supply/demand, pricing, competition etc- Conducts frequent discussions with all stack holders in the daughter countries, Egypt and HQ- Accountable for delivery of the annual target for all 3 countries- Develop customer relationships beyond merely transactional decision makers, identifying senior decision makers may bring the customers’ strategies to life- Supporting the resolution of customer issues, including interventions with customers to resolve escalated issues
We are looking for– English & Arabic Speaking- Relevant experience in Business development and or other commercial role- A good understanding of Ocean, logistics and forwarding products, solutions, pricing and terminology, in the local markets- Understands the competitive landscape, and can adjust approaches to customers as a result- Proven track record of targeting, pursuing and winning large opportunities, through both personal and collaborative selling efforts- Strong presence and ability to communicate / present / consult with ‘C’ level decision makers- Proven track record in a matrix, multi-cultural organisation, building strong relationships and networks both locally and internationally.- Well-developed communication, persuasiveness, influencing and presentation skills- Has strong needs evolution and questioning skills- Demonstrable ability to handle most common customer objections- Strong negotiation skills- Resilient, tenacious and persistent- Self-Motivated and performance driven- Numerate and analyticalPOSTULER
