The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, applying and maintaining procedures to ensure quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) of products, assets, and materials and supplies.  The Quality Engineer also executes quality assurance processes such as audits, investigations and quality improvement plans to enable excellence in execution. The Quality Engineer has hands-on understanding of tool and product functionality and production.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain project Master Document Register (MDR), internal audits, Nonconformance Report (NCR), Field Performance Report (FPR) Analysis, in accordance with API Q2 / ISO9001 standards
  • Support onshore activity to ensure delivery of reliable wells system, URF system, controls and instrumentation equipment offshore
  • Ensure zero non-productive time caused by quality issues for equipment supplied to the client
  • Facilitate quality improvement activities including analysis of non-conformance and training of company and supplier personnel in quality related matters
  • Identify areas to deliver continuous improvement in equipment quality including process design and implementation improvements.
  • Perform quality control inspection activities (including dimension check) related to the service, repair and refurbishment of equipment, to verify and assure compliance with company specifications and industry requirements
  • Perform receipt inspection, in-process inspection and final release inspection activities and to create relevant reports of such activities
  • Perform witness and verification of equipment undergoing acceptance testing and to review results of such tests for compliance with requirements
  • Raise, update, and close rejection reports to facilitate the control and rework of non-conforming product
  • Monitor and manage non-conformance systems
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to management and client
  • Create and submit company deviation requests and technical queries
  • Respond to company issued Nonconformance reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure efficient communication between projects, operations, and clients

Requirements

  • Diploma in engineering discipline or proven experience within a quality discipline
  • Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience proven performance on quality assurance processes (Materials Review Board, Supplier Documentation Review/Approval) and quality improvement techniques (Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Statistical Process Control, etc)
  • Experience in manufacturing and quality inspection processes
  • Experience in offshore operations processes – working knowledge of subsea product use and limitations will be an added advantage
  • Experience in risk management including safety management, incident reporting and investigation
  • Able to understand and interpret the requirements of engineering documents – Bill of Material (BOM), detailed engineering drawings, project documentation, production planning documents, material specifications and vendor supplied material certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
