PN recruits 01 Training Manager – Philippines
Passerelles Numériques (PN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enabling highly disadvantaged youths, through their abilities and their commitment, to access education and technical and vocational training in the sector of Information Technology. We work to build strong employability which will allow them and their families to escape poverty in a sustainable way, and contribute to the social and economic development of their countries. Established in Cambodia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Madagascar, Passerelles Numériques currently trains more than 600 students and employs around 100 people based in these four countries including a small team in France. Since 2005, PN has produced more than 2 600 graduates. In the Philippines, Passerelles Numériques started its mission in 2009, with a training center based in Cebu City. PN Philippines offers a two and a half year vocational training program for underserved young people.
MISSION
Passerelles Numériques Philippines (PNPh) offers a comprehensive Student Support Program in collaboration with our academic partner. This program includes a Software Development Associate degree supplemented by pertinent IT and professional development courses delivered by PNPh. The Training Manager will lead the relationship with the academic partner. S/he will ensure a close follow-up of each student and implement PN pedagogical approaches, which ensures a high-quality education for all the students.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnerships
● Be in charge of the academic relationship with the academic partners
● Initiate and establish networks and linkages with ICT and other related industries;
● Represent PNPh in ICT events, meetings, conferences as maybe required.
Training and Pedagogy Management
Academic Partners
● Conduct an annual pedagogical diagnostic to identify areas where additional PN
resources or training could be beneficial
● Review the university monthly learning progress diagnostic report
● Propose and conduct pedagogical workshops for the academic trainers (if required).
Internal
● Analyze, design and implement the ICT reinforcement courses, which are dedicated
to reinforce students’ level on computer science courses
● Organize a tutoring program
● Propose and conduct pedagogical workshops for external trainers (if required)
● Plan (including human, material and financial resources), implement and evaluate
the non-academic programs (e.g. summer camp and pre-training phase).
Students’ academic level follow up
● Monitor the students’ academic performances (regular survey) identify needed
reinforcement courses
● Meet with students, particularly those who are struggling, to identify their individual
learning needs and develop strategies to support their academic success
● Lead monthly student follow-up meetings to assess students’ progress, address
challenges, set goals, and define support mechanisms.
Resources Management
● Work closely with the HR to identify and recruit trainers and volunteers in order to
ensure a high-quality and inclusive education
● Coordinate with the academic partner in the area of resource planning and
implementation in and off campus
● Plan and monitor yearly budget each year.
Reporting
● Provide data and reports as requested.
PN Global and cross-country collaboration
● Participate in PN learning model training workshops
● Play an active role towards the other Passerelles Numériques teams.
Other
● Carry out any such duties as may be reasonably required by the Country
Representative
● Organize and take part in school events, workshops, trainings, outings and
activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.
Expériences / Formation
Master’s degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent
Management experience or assumed leadership roles preferred
Teaching experience a must
Good English and communication skills required
Salaire
Volunteer of International Solidarity (VSI) or local contract
