Job Description:NORCAP, part of the Norwegian Refugee Council, solves challenges in the humanitarian, development and peacebuilding sectors in order to better protect vulnerable people’s lives and rights. One of the outcomes of this process is the establishment of the Innovation, Business development and Analysis (IBA) section. Professionalising our fundraising work and building new strategic partnerships is an integral part of achieving the goals for the new section and the overall ambitions of NORCAP.Your roleAs the Senior Fundraising and Partnership Adviser you will be NORCAP’s lead expert on institutional donors. You will be responsible for maintaining and potentially expanding existing funding streams, and to identify and engage with potential new donors. You will also play a critical role in the internal professionalisation of the business development processes in NORCAP. To this end, key responsibilities include:To strengthen NORCAP’s strategic relationship with donors and represent NORCAP in relevant fora.To develop and operationalise NORCAP’s fundraising strategyTo manage and drive funding processes within NORCAP, including identifying and instigating new opportunities, strengthening and building strategic partnerships and establishing formal agreements with donors.To monitor and investigate potential engagement with tenders and other for-profit modalities.To contribute to the development of action plans, priority processes and strategic documents in the section.To collaborate with teams on innovation and business development to ensure learning and capturing of best practices.To advise colleagues on NORCAP’s relations with donors, potential funding opportunities and compliance issuesTo ensure that NORCAP’s donor relations are adequately reflected in internal and external communication. We can offer:A dynamic work environment where this position will be key to drive and support internal professionalisation of business development processes, drawing on NORCAP successes in building key thematic portfolios, such as Cash & Markets (CashCap), Energy & Climate, Gender and Protection (GBV REGA, ProCap & GenCap) and Education.Strongly committed, challenging and international work environment in a large, world-renowned humanitarian organisation.The position is a full-time, permanent position at our Head Office in modern locations in central Oslo.Salary by agreement, good pension and insurance schemes.For more information about the role, please contact Head of Innovation, Business development and Support, Linn Bogsnes Miles on + 47 9708 4877 / linn. All NRC employees are expected to work in accordance with the organisation’s values; To be dedicated, innovative, inclusive and accountable are attitudes and beliefs that shall guide our actions and relationships.
