As a West Africa Senior Marine Planner you will be responsible for executing efficient and effective operations at the lowest possible cost for all services and terminals under your scope.

Key responsibilities-Has responsibility for reviewing and verifying pro forma schedules for sign off and eliminating inefficiencies in same.-Makes proposals for emergency handling and complex business decisions to the Marine Planning Manager.-Acts as the main contact point for external senior stakeholders, ie authorities, port groups and terminal operators, agents, and local management of VSA partners.-Liaises with the terminal operator to ensure the most optimal berthing line-up for incoming vessels.-Coordinates the timely dispatch of vessels with the terminal.-Conducts post mortem reviews of vessel calls to assess and address areas of improvement.-Participates in the Network Change process by discussing and securing berthing windows for all ports within scope.-Assumes responsibility for Key Ports in region to ensure overall Network Health.-Supports the training and development of Marine Planning team assigned to the respective port range in terms of professional and local specific knowledge and operational skill.-Assists the Marine Planning Manager in setting objectives of Marine Planning team, assigned to the respective port range, and provides regular feedback in terms of performance.-Proactively reviews and challenges the bunker consumption of the vessels ensuring the fleet operates efficiently at the lowest possible consumption.-Reviews and secures Product Integrity across Region. Customer Interaction and Maersk Representative.
