Maersk is looking to hire a CHB Customs Agent to Join our Team in Abidjan.

You will learn The core of customer service for a shipping line: you will be exposed to all activities linked to customer service and learn to manage various internal stakeholder from operation to our global service center. To develop customers from a commercial point of view, discussing biz opportunities and potential new logistics. To be part of a newly redesigned team, with a good mix of experience and young talents
Key responsibilities
– Follow up of container stuffing.
– Follow-up of the files transmitted to the customs.
– Get the customs green light for each files transmitted.
– Follow up of the files from opening to delivery.
– Act as a key contact and build strong and sustainable relationship with customs authorities and relevant parties intervening in the process
– Ensure customer satisfaction through a positive customer experience and a smooth execution of the end to end shipment lifecycle;
– Prepare and submit weekly and monthly report to Management;
– Develop strong understanding of customers’ business drivers, needs and requirements.
We are looking for
– Has good knowledge of customs legislation
– Has Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage customer networks as well as negotiation process
– Problem solving skills with a strong customer focus.
– Can build and maintain a strong network of customers.
– Successfully manages the negotiation process.
– A self-starter with sense of urgency and time management
– Acceptable English level and fluency in French
