We are looking for a dedicated team player and creative young professional to join our Cargo Execution team in Cape-Town. In this role, you are expected to build sustainable relationships with various stakeholders making sure of loading and discharge in relation to cargo operations.

Key responsibilities– Drives efficiency, productivity and innovation in tasks and scope by working closely with the Global Shared Centre & Global Stowage Production teams.- Manages and inspires cost-consciousness across functions to ensure constant reduction of costs by providing feedback upstream to ensure better vessel planning downstream.- Builds strong working relationships with key internal and external customers to achieve targets and deadlines.- Assists with development of operational policies within area of responsibility and communicate to relevant stakeholders both internal and external.- Drives high utilization of our vessels and assets.- Focus on improving vessel planning, through daily engagements with Terminal operators, capacity, equipment and country operations teams.- Optimize and proactively plans transshipment volumes.- Takes responsibility for reducing waste such as longstanding containers, renominations and cargo no-shows.- Acts as main focal point for all damages and claims for trans shipment cargo.- Facilitates execution improvement discussions with various departments, to assist with deadline adherence and data quality.- Focus on Vessel load plan approval through active engagement between terminal and vessel in agreed deadlines.
We are looking for– 2-3 years’ experience in operations role within logistics and shipping industry.Young graduates encouraged to apply;- Continuous improvement and innovation mindset;- Ability to work with time constraints and to make decisions;- Excellent communication skills.
