ResponsibilitiesProviding general administrative work for the Supervisor to oversee the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the implementation of the project team (with the Deputy Representative and the projects team).

In the context of the implementation of KOICAs’ public health projects in Senegal, support the supervisor’s role in coordinating monitoring, and supporting the work of national and operational units, with technical and administrative inputs:

  • Following up on the implementation of activities at the country level by stakeholders and experts through mailing, calls, and meetings, and preparation of meetingsReviewing and updating project documents: work plans, agreement, guidelines and reports, regular tracking of the various indicators and financial statusLiaise with partners, ensuring a collaborative effort toward the planning, implementation, and monitoring of public health projects

Ensure the monitoring and supervision of the public health projects in Senegal through:

  • Regular communication with the national focal pointTechnical meeting with the construction manager on the construction mattersField visit.

Involvement in other assignments in relation to the duties:

  • Translation during meetings with non-Anglophone speaking partners and translation of French written documents for Korean staffSpeeches redaction for eventsPress reviewPartner report and document reviewsConcept note analysis, project initiation studyAny other tasks assigned by a supervisorCollect public health-relevant information concerning policy, the government (eg. modalities for international cooperation), and other donor agencies in SenegalCarry out brief analysis when requiredAssist in compiling the data/information and documenting

Desired qualifications

  • Minimum of University Degree level (Health, Public health, Epidemiology, Social sciences or related)At least 3 years of work experience in the related fieldExcellent knowledge of written and spoken English, FrenchGood communication and reporting skillsExperience working with the Government of SenegalBe able to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyProactive, problemsolving action orientation is essentialComputer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in both English and French
