Handicap International is changing his name and becomes « Humanity & Inclusion ». JOB CONTEXT :

HI started its activities in Iraq in 1991.

HI has currently 4 offices in Iraq:

• Erbil coordination office
• Kirkuk office (Sub-office in Kalar)
• Mosul office
• Baghdad office

HI’s strategy in Iraq for 2017-2020 includes 3 main components:

• Arms Risk Reduction: Including Risk Education and Land release
• Health: Physical and psychological rehabilitation
• Inclusive access to essential services

YOUR MISSION:

Under the direct supervision of the Finance Coordinator and in strong coordination with the Area managers, the Finance Trainer will be responsible for accompanying the transfer of responsibilities and competences to the Finance Team (officers, cashiers) to enable them to undertake independently the management of the finance department.

He / she will:

• Support and follow-up the implementation of HI ROOTS (Review of our Organization’s Operations and Technical Schemes) at base level
• Contribute to the recruitment, training and capacity-building of the finance team (finance officers, cashiers)
• Provide relevant trainings to other departments and staff (logistics, program) to ensure they are knowledgeable of the finance procedures and tools as relevant

YOUR PROFILE :

• You hold a Master degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economy or any other relevant field
• You have at least 3 years of experience in Finance management for NGOs.
• You have previous proven experience in in capacity-building and training
• A previous experience with HI is an asset.
• Experience in the Middle East is a strong asset
• You have excellent communication and reporting skills
• You have good planning and organization skills
• You are self-confident, adaptable and result-oriented
• You have strong interpersonal and multicultural skills
• You are able to work under high pressure
• You are fluent in English.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION :

The position is roving between Baghdad and Kirkuk with travel to Erbil. Movements in Baghdad and Kirkuk are subject to security restrictions and a curfew, with existing but limited opportunities for leisure (restaurants, hotels, malls etc.). Accommodation will be in a shared guesthouse with other expatriate colleagues.

CONDITIONS:

• Starting date : January 2020

• Length of the contract: 6 months

• Employee status, according to experience :

• Salary from 2214 € gross/month regarding the experience of the candidate
• Perdiem : 522 € net/month
• Hardship allowance : 500€ net/month
• Insurances : medical hearth coverage, retirement planning, repatriation
• Paid holiday : 25 days per year
• R&R : 5 days every 3 months
