Chemonics seeks a short-term local consultant to act as a central-level key informant interviewer for the ongoing USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project in Ghana. In August 2019, GHSC-PSM in Ghana will conduct a National Supply Chain Assessment (NSCA) to provide a comprehensive view of Ghana’s national supply chain maturity and performance. The NSCA requires the collection of data from selected facilities across the country and several central-level key informant interviews with Ghana Ministry of Health personnel. The central-level key informant interviewer will conduct thorough interviews of high-level officials and provide detailed notes for the NSCA team. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
Act as a key ministry and administrative official for relevant NSCA survey modules and tables, recording all responses and information via tablet
Track completion of the NSCA survey modules with both the Capability Maturity Model module and key performance indicator tables for health administration and the Ministry of Health
Assist the assessment team and logistics personnel to identify replacement interviewees when data proves unavailable from initially identified respondents
Submit finalized interview schedule with dates and locations for Ministry of Health interviews
Finalize completed survey submissions related to each module of the NSCA
Record comprehensive meeting notes for each key informant interview
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in supply chain management or public health preferred
Demonstrated experience conducting interviews with high-level officials on sensitive topics
Experience in supply chain systems required
Demonstrated understanding of assessments and structured interview protocols required
Experience with U.S. government-funded projects required
Experience supporting large-scale survey implementation strongly preferred
Experience working with the Ghana Ministry of Health and/or Ghana Health Services preferred
Strong literacy in mobile data collection tools
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Written and oral fluency in English required
