Gauteng, 7200Reference Number: 026 2206 (SV) Job Description:Responsible for translating customer requirements into a series of schedules and assembly plans. Work with internal customers to balance the manufacturing load and capacity to deliver products within the given customer promise. The role will furthermore include the creation of accurate production schedules in order to meet 100% schedule accomplishment, customer on time delivery, minimize inventory, optimize cost, and to reduce lead times. They will work closely with inventory replenishment to determine pipeline requirements. Must in addition take the necessary actions to accommodate emergency requirements from customers as and when necessary. The position is accountable at all times for the accuracy of physical inventories as reflected in the system and must ensure the necessary controls are in place and that stock variance targets to be met. Responsibilities:Translate customer orders into material to support production orders and confirm customer orders in order with agreed lead-times from supplying plantGenerate documentation/work packs for batchesDo regular cycle counts to ensure system and physical inventory matchesRecognize by pro-active review when scheduled deliveries will take place and work with supply chain to expedite and re-schedule as requiredWork with the warehouse team in order to manage the materials efficiently and effectivelyCreate a 30 day production planWork closely with team in achieving inventory targetsProduce and update the production and assembly plans (schedules) as and when required thereby ensuring that OE parts are produced in sufficient quantities to complete the required assemblies and loose parts as per customer requirementsEnsure materials and parts are issued in accordance with the determined schedules via works orders and close out once completedEnsure the necessary data is recorded on related documentsPrioritize works orders to meet customer requirementsEnsure all other product movements and transfers have the necessary documentation, is sufficiently completed and such documentation is timeously captured in systemMonitor stock accuracy at regular intervals, conduct stock counts as and when required and prepare stock adjustment documents.Reporting on and accuracy of WIP (work in progress)Communicate with production, sales and inventory replenishmentControl of inventoriesExpediting of parts in production
Requirements: Qualification and SkillBachelor of Supply Chain / ProcurementCertificate of Operational Management/ Supply Chain/ ProductionMRP (Material requirements planning) or equivalent planning / scheduling certificate / programme3 years production planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.Enterprise Resource Planning systems experience in a manufacturing environmentMust have taken Mathematics in high schoolStrong knowledge of supply chain.Strong MS Office Suite skillsBenefits and Contractual information:Permanent position
