Job Description:
Our client is in need of a suitably qualified Metallurgist with experience in gold processing environments to join their team in West Africa.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of safe operating practices, defining production technical limits, metallurgical process optimization and continuous improvement, metal accounting and troubleshooting within the plant.
Introduce processes and systems to ensure optimum efficiency and output.
Assisting in the management of the contractor laboratory.
Mentoring and training subordinates.
Reporting to the Process Manager.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
Metallurgical Degree or Diploma (BSc degree, HND Extractive Metallurgy or similar)
Minimum 10 years’ experience within a metallurgical role in gold processing plants.
Strong problem solving skills.
Previous experience in project environments preferred.
Previous contractor management experience.
Previous experience in expatriate roles in Africa essential.
Contractual information:
FIFO rotation.
Single status position.
