Job Summary :
AZA Finance is currently in need of a temporary recruiter to assist with hiring and onboarding needs for 6 months as our specialist teams grow and build capacity in their departments.
This role will work closely with People Operations and hiring managers to learn AZA’s process for recruiting and onboarding.
As the subject matter expert, you will be responsible for ensuring we source, attract, hire and retain the best talent at AZA.
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who will be entrusted with an ongoing quest to discover talent, build a strong employment brand and ensure great relationships with both candidates and hiring managers.
As the Recruiter, we expect you to be experienced in full cycle recruiting and employer branding.
You should have a sharp eye for talented people and a steady commitment to help them find success in our company.

This temporary role is open to candidates in Dakar – Senegal and Lagos – Nigeria

In the role, you will :
– Learn AZA’s recruiting process to assist the People Operations and hiring managers with recruiting start to finish
– Work with Hiring Managers to edit Job Descriptions and handle Job Postings for open positions
– Log vacancies in the Applicant Tracking System and research additional websites and job boards to post to; based on the specific vacancy.
– Creatively source candidates, build and manage a database of qualified candidates utilising a variety of direct sourcing initiatives (such as LinkedIn, head hunting, working with relevant job boards and networking event organisers)
– Identify candidates that would be a good fit for other open positions
– Conduct initial phone screens with candidates to assess their suitability for the specific roles
– Schedule interviews between the interviewers and selected candidates.
– Administer skills tests/assignment to candidates assess skills for the position.
– Assist hiring managers with reference checks and personality assessments of selected candidates
– Assist Operations and hiring managers with Onboarding process.
– Maintain communication with candidates and answer their questions about AZA and the hiring process
– Work with People Operations to track DEI metrics and candidate attrition rates for all positions
– Provide regular updates and reporting metrics to the internal stakeholders on open vacancies, sourcing strategies, and current pipeline for each role.

Requirements :
– 3+ years of recruitment experience
– Experience in recruiting specialist roles (e.g., engineers, product managers, sales and revenue specialists)
– Fluency in both English and French
– Experience using an industry standard ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
– Excellent understanding of full-cycle recruitment processes
– Extremely organised, strong attention to detail, and process-oriented
– Reliable, independent, and able to juggle multiple tasks effectively
– Prompt and effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
– Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
– A personable/amiable demeanour is a must
– Good organisational skills
– Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Package i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Gmail packages e.g Google Docs, and Google Calendar
