Maersk Congo DRC is looking to hire a Customer Execution Officer to join our Team in Matadi. The role of the Customer Execution Officer is to manage equipment allocation to East DRC and ensure smooth end-to-end shipment process in compliance with all company procedures; building strong relationships with the customers. Understanding their
business drivers should be leveraged to continuously improve cooperation and process to the mutual benefit of the customer and Maersk Business.
Responsible and accountable for equipment and Intermodal operations, procurement, administration procedures as well coordination of documentation processes with relevant stakeholders. Deliver the most efficient management of Maersk assets in line with commercial drivers.
To optimize equipment flow and turn time of MLB container assets, by continuously reducing long-standings and pro-actively drive balance of flows with our commercial organization.

Key responsibilities
– Be the Dual Branded primary point of contact for own customers and act as an advocate for the Customers, internally within Maersk business organisation,
– Actively build strong relationships with customers and gain an understanding of their business, service needs, drivers and desires,
– Ensure smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle, by working closely with the customer as well as internal stakeholders (Documentation, Finance, Operation, GSC’s)
– Proactively track shipments and notify customers of relevant deviations from the transport plan, including potential solutions or alternatives,
– Be the owner of all customer issues and engage relevant stakeholders as required to facilitate timely and effective solutions,
– Manage / improve day to day process interaction with own customers by leveraging detailed customer knowledge,
– Be fully responsible for customer satisfaction (own customers)
– Understand claims policy and its impact on company assets and guide customers best possible through any potential claim situation,
– Commercial intelligence: In-depth knowledge about the mining and timber industries in which his/her customers operate
– In general, actively seek out and act on continuous improvement opportunities both in relation to customers and internal / external stakeholders.
– Always behave in a manner consistent with and loyal to the A.P. Moller – Maersk values
– Comply with Global EMR and Cost recovery policy
– Sending and follow up of EMR dunning letters to third parties
– EMR reporting
– Achieve best data quality through MERC+ and FACT-OTC
– Proactively work on specific Customer Satisfaction parameters
– Distribute the volume based on the allocation from procurement
– Work with agency to handle ad hoc special operational tasks
We are looking for
– Bachelor Degree,
– Freight Forwarding operations experience (commercial knowlegde).
– Industry experience (internal and external)
– Locally defined ‘technical’ experience
– Knowledge of Equipment and EMR operation
– In-depth knowledge and understanding of operational systems including interconnectivity and strategic purpose
– Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
– Fluent English and French skills, verbal and written, and a basic understanding of local languages.
