Job Description
Reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager West Africa
The Modern Trade / Key Account Manager will leverage on his/her own background and expertise to create value for BIC & key accounts within West Africa through proper planning and coordination of the implementation of all business initiatives, generating volume growth, turnover, numeric & weighted distribution, improved merchandising, and cost optimization.
Directly responsible for the development of BIC business within modern trade & key accounts in Senegal.
Assist the Business Development Managers and local Distributors to develop a profitable business for BIC within modern trade in West Africa.
Main responsibilities / tasks:
Manage key accounts
Improve instore presence
Develop the team
Competitive intelligence
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Key Account Management roles (at brand and/or retailer level) in FMCG or relevant industry
Perfect knowledge of Microsoft operating systems especially PowerPoint and Excel
Business and results oriented with proven negotiation skills
Able to identify new sales opportunities (new customers, new segments)
Hard working, rigorous, well organized and able to work autonomously
Capacity to deal with much reporting and meet tight deadlines
A self-starter, working under their own initiative…and a completer / finisher
Ability to analyse and provide clear recommendations
Good communication skills (writing & verbal)
Build strong relationships with both key exteral and internal customers
Energy and passion for achievement of own commitments and delivering company objectives
Desired qualifications:
Good business acumen (understanding of our business model involving different stakeholders from brand to distributors to retailers/trade to consumers
Analytic, accurate and quick interpretation of figures
Able to inluence and persuade others to take a specific course of action
Special talent at managing and motivating multiculural sales teams
