Job Description:

Purpose of the position:

Provide support to the Regional Digital and Content Manager in her role to deliver technical leadership and support to the West Africa Region and countries Communication’s department.

Main tasks

  • Support the in-house production of multimedia content (video, web, print design)
  • Support the management of West Africa Region social media and digital platforms and the production of monthly analytics and trends to support decision making process
  • Support the production of compelling stories that translate World Vision work in the region and the transformation in the life of communities/beneficiaries
  • Contribute to the production of West Africa Region periodic internal and external newsletters
  • Support the implementation of visibility plan around key Advocacy global moments during Public Events and on social média
  • Participate in Regional trainings and meetings
  • Support content editing and design work of marketing products (reports/fact sheets, capacity statement…) that contribute to World Vision external engagement plan
  • Collate National Offices monthly and quarterly reports, and report to the Regional Communication Director or the Regional Digital and Content Manager
  • Assist regional meetings as commended by the Regional Communication Director
  • Prepare memos/summaries on key meetings and events for the Regional Communication Director

Competences, Qualifications and Attitudes

The following experiences and qualifications are required to apply for that position:

  • License or Master degree in Design & Multimedia or Journalism or Communications
  • Experience and skills in the production of diverse and creative communications projects including publications, multi-media, websites/pages, photo and video reports, etc.
  • Have a perfect command of French and excellent writing skills
  • Good English skills (written and verbal) is an asset
  • Good knowledge and experience of social media management
  • Prior experience in a Communication Department would be an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Design and video production softwares
  • An energetic, analytical and self-starting approach
  • Highly collaborative and able to gain the support of others
