PURPOSE OF POSITION (The position will be located in Muyinga province)
The purpose of the Livelihood Facilitator is to provide technical guidance and support in the rollout of livelihood interventions for the Disability Inclusive Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Livelihoods Project (DUSANEZA) funded by Finland Government and directly implemented by both World Vision and COPED. With a special focus on covering the families with the most vulnerable children and those living with disabilities at Musasa Refugee Camp, the Livelihood Facilitator will families at the Refugee Camp and act as a community change agent encourager, partnership broker, and builder of the capacity of Refugee Camp families, local partners, facilitating the emergence and strengthening of community-led initiatives/innovations to improve and sustain the well-being of children and their families through livelihood/food security activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES-At least Technician Agronomist A1 or Bachelor in Community Development;
-Reliable experience in coordinating Livelihood activities during humanitarian crisis
-At least 1 year of relevant experience working with Non-Governmental Organizations in Food Security and/or Value Chain

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Other Competencies/Attributes:-Fluency in French, Kirundi, and adequacy in English
-Basic project management skills and good understanding of the project life cycle
-Experience with development project management tools such as log frames, monitoring and evaluation tools and budgets
-Good written and verbal communication skills, including report-writing
-Good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Lotus Notes (or another main email system such as Microsoft Outlook)
-Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, and ability to work with a wide range of people from different backgrounds
-Emotional and spiritual maturity and ability to lead a team of professionals
-Good understanding of World Vision and Sphere relief standards
-Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct
-Commitment to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement
-High level of integrity and ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local cultural context
-Ability to work under stressful conditions
-Agreement with World Vision’s Christian ethos and participation in devotions

Working Environment / Conditions:-Domestic Travel: Regular internal travel to project areas is required
-On call: As required
