PURPOSE OF POSITION
The videography & Design communications officer will assist the communications Manager in documenting all activities related to World Vision Burundi work with videos and design.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement WV’s branding policy by ensuring that the materials developed are in line with WVI and partners’ branding guidelines. 25
Deliver creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic, web-based and design and layout of data and information provided by World Vision International/Burundi. 20
Improve and edit art work, photos, charts and other graphic elements and ensure that the WV Partnership is provided with quality photos and media interviews from the field. 5
Design of reports and other communication materials as needed (ex: flyers, posters, booklets, leaflets, presentations, bulletins, etc.) for printing and electronic distribution. 10
Develop information graphics (diagrams, charts, etc.) and provide data visualization support for various program areas. 10
Provide Videography and documentary support in terms of idea formulation, conceptualization and production. 15
Provide relevant audio visual communications training to Sub-branch and non-communications staff 10
Ensure that all work done in the audiovisual domain is recorded. Keep an updated record and status of audiovisual assets and manage (store, update & disseminate) video resources for WV Burundi 5

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:
-University degree in communications, graphic design or related is preferred.
-Minimum 5 years of consistent experience in editing, video shooting and design within NGOs or private sector.
-Experience in working with World Vision is an advantage.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
-Familiarity with graphic design fundamentals, especially branding work.
-Strong practical background in design, editing and production, including the use of design
-Software such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Light room) and its plug-ins.
-Proven experience of graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes and color management.
-Good understanding of new and evolving technologies and digital platforms.
-Knowledge of animation/motion design techniques is an advantage
-Some understanding of children issues in Burundi and World vision work is desirable
-Ability to travel and work in the field as an essential function of the position.
-High levels of confidentiality and flexibility
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
-University degree in communications, graphic design or related field is preferred.
-Experience of minimum 5 years working as a videographer/ designer/ communications officer in development context, a fast paced, multicultural complex environment.
Work Environment
-Working primarily in the national office in Bujumbura with frequent travel to the field.
-Domestic travel will be done 35% of the time.
