The World Food Programme Somalia activities include food assistance for relief, Safety nets including unconditional safety nets and school feeding, nutrition, and livelihoods related activities through provision of in-kind and cash-based transfers.

Duties and Responsibilities:Under the technical supervision of the Head of Sub-Office Berbera and the overall supervision of Head of Hargeisa Office, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
Perform thorough verification of contractors’ invoices including Clearing and Forwarding Agents, Transporters, Superintendence companies, Warehousing Agents, as well as Pest Control companies;Ensure submitted invoices have booked commitment details in WFP’s Information Network and Global System (WINGS)Ensure weekly invoice status report is prepared and submitted on time;Reconcile and monitor entries posted in the corporate Invoice Tracking System (ITS) on a weekly basis;Follow closely on timely and accurate submission of invoices by  contractors;Assist in training of service providers and WFP staff on invoicing procedures;Update all the invoice ledgers and maintain a reliable filing system;Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure no discrepancies exist between the corporate commodity accounting system (LESS) and invoices;Ensure timely forwarding of invoices from Area Office to Nairobi Liaison Office;Support logistics operations and activities to ensure effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries;Assist in the capturing of receipt commodities in the system when required;Perform any other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications :Education :Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certification in logistics and other related field is desirable
Experience :Three years of progressively responsible support experience including at least one year in the field of accounting, transport, insurance, statistics and logistics operations.  Experience in accounts or /finance would be an added advantage.
Language :Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Somali is a requirement.
Knowledge & Skills :Sound knowledge and ability to interpret and apply logistics policies, operational processes;Experience utilizing computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, excel among others;Hands-on logistics experience in the UN or INGOs is desirable. Applications Instructions :Interested and qualified candidates are requested to submit online applications through E-Recruitment:
