Expert Programme Coordination
The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
As Expert Programme Coordination you will be responsible for the implementation of project activities according to the specified deadlines and organisational, contractual and financial directives. Under the supervision of the Head of Programmes, you will support the development of the multi-annual country strategy and contribute to its implementation and monitoring.
Your responsibilities Identify, assess and pre-select new project ideas on the basis of the country programme and in line with the multi-annual country strategy and the annual planIn coordination with the Head of Programmes, serve as focal point for proposal development and contribute to proposal writingMonitor project reporting schedules and ensure reporting occurs correctly and in due time to Head Office Bonn and donorsRevise or elaborate narrative reports before donor submissionElaborate and disseminate relevant communication documents, success stories and maintain Welthungerhilfe DRC’s social media pages (e.g. Facebook)Ensure programme compliance with donor guidelines and Welthungerhilfe strategyServe as the in-country focal point for ProMIS related issuesParticipate in the training of team members both at country and field officesIn coordination with the Head of Programmes, ensure that Welthungerhilfe is represented at all important external meetings of clusters, donors, UN agencies, in the private sector, etc.
Your profile A university or polytechnic degree in a relevant field like International StudiesA minimum of 3-5 years of professional experienceBMZ, AA, USAID or ECHO donor experience would be a great advantageExcellent communication skillsStrong planning skills, ability to work under pressure and to deliver results in a challenging contextA high level of mental and physical resilience and readiness to travel to areas with volatile local conditionsExcellent spoken and written English and French, communication skills in German would be an asset
