Now, we have millions of users across six countries and are growing fast.Our goal is to make Africa the first cashless continent and that’s where you come in…..How you’ll help us achieve itAs Cash Security Manager, you will act as the first line of defense for Wave’s cash management and collaborate with functional leaders to implement risk mitigation strategies and measures.

While the current reporting for this role is to the Head of Operations, the scope of work for cash and physical security is for all in-country operations, including payments.In this role, you’ll be expected to handle the following responsibilities:Cash and Physical Security:

• Monitor suspicious cash management transactions and follow up on required actions.Determine the vulnerabilities of our cash management procedures and required improvement actionsActively participate in any money loss investigations related to cash managementInvestigate and escalate issues, act upon identified cash and physical security threats, and then implement mitigation strategies

Partnership and Technical Management:

• Manage relations with security partners and monitor the quality of service provided by security partnerMonitor the collection of receivables from partners involved in operational activities and various projects

Operational Support and Training:

• Draft procedures governing operational staff activities, ensuring risk prevention measures and that level 1 controls existSupport operational staff on specific projects, helping them better understand the risks inherent in the projectsAssist in disseminating an adequate Security risk culture across the company

General Duties:

• Identifying rising cash risk in-country through incident reporting and mitigationWorking closely with the internal control team to ensure that country risks are included and adequately tracked in risk mappingWorking with the police or other law enforcement bodies as neededOther duties may be assigned or as the business requires

• Location: You’ll work from our office in Dakar and may travel to field locations.Work authorization in Senegal is requiredThis is a permanent position

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or above in business administration, risk management, finance, security, criminology, or other relevant disciplinesAt least 5 years in cash management, cash theft controls, and investigation, financial sector permanent control practicesProficiency in spoken and written French and English
