Main responsibilities
- Technical preparation and execution of service-works in Power Plants and on board ships
- Commissioning of new build engines (FO/LNG/DF engine commissioning’s)
- Execute overhauls, maintenance works and repair work
- Lead and manage assigned team and related activities during the work execution Interact with customers during the work execution and offer best solutions
- Proactively advice and promote available products and solutions to customers in collaboration with Technical Service and the Sales Teams
- Preparation of jobs including scope of work, spare parts, manpower, work materials, tools, travel and other resources for each operation
- Provide internal and external complete service work reports including conclusions/recommendations and documentation on executed work
- Collect and organize time and expense report after completion of the job in time and cooperate with FS coordinators.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience as certified Senior Service Engineer or 5 Years’ experience as Superintendent engineer
- Job location: Dakar, Wartsila West Africa

- Knowledge in using MS Office applications
- Knowledge of ABB and NAPIER turbochargers seen as advantage
- Fluent in English, French considered as advantage
