We are looking for a passionate and adaptable leader to develop and lead the Service Unit West Africa (SUWA). SUWA is covering all of Western Africa, Nigeria and all French speaking countries in central Africa. The Service Unit Director leads an organization of 300+ people and is a member of Africa Area Services Management Team in Energy Business. The position should be located in Dakar and reports to Director, Services Africa, Energy Business.
Position description

The Services Unit Director leads and manages the Services Unit in achieving and exceeding operational and strategic goals in line with customer needs. The Services Unit Director ensures customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction in the region.

Your responsibilities at Wärtsilä
Lead the Service Unit and the SUWA Management Team
Constantly improve order intake, sales growth and profitability
Continuously develop customer focus, customer relationships and customer understanding in the Services Unit.

Lead the Services Unit organization including optimal resourcing and improving performance, develop Services Unit competences and assets on short and long term
Ensure implementation of QEHS, Services Development programs and other Energy Business Services priorities in the Services Unit
Address customer needs and market requirements
Drive the short-term (annual) action planning and target setting process as well as progress follow-up and reporting
Manages actively the risk and financial exposure
Proactively work to foster and enable cross-organizational team work

Job requirements
Relevant academic background and strong track record of leadership in a global environment, as well as solid experience from a customer interface. Earlier experience from leading an organization in Africa is a benefit. Solid proficiency of French language is a prerequisite.
