Full time teacher of Ma/Sc (enivronmental and biological) for Grades 7-8 classes and a couple of lessons per week of geography. The post is from September 2018 for two years..

The school is a rigorously academic, independent bi-lingual (Fr/Eng) secondary school in Dakar. Most of the students are Senegalese. Students graduate with the International Baccalaureate (IB) bilingual diploma and obtain places in universities overseas. Students do social service work in the community outside the school.

Free, accommodation in small furnished apartments is provided on-site.

Ideal candidates will possess an excellent work ethic; strong communication and organizational skills; patience and a good sense of humour; strong classroom management skills; some experience teaching diverse students. Beginning teachers are welcome to apply.

Successful candidates will be creative, models of tolerance and openness towards their colleagues, students and the school community, and responsive to new ideas and practices.

Familiarity with the developing world would be an advantage but is not essential. We are looking for candidates able to commit to at least two years.

Some knowledge of French would be helpful for living in Dakar, but it is not an essential requirement.
