The City of Tempe encourages for its Vibrant City Arts Grants that are intended to activate Tempe and build community connections through inclusive arts and culture programming. The Arts Grants program supports a commitment to advancing Tempe as a vibrant and progressive community for cultural and artistic activity.
Cash Grants for NGOs to improve access to justice around the world
Conservation Grants to research and generate local solutions to environmental problems
Foundation Grants of up to € 100,000 to increase people’s resilience to disasters
Innovative grants to address poverty issues by helping communities reduce violence, promote peace and recover from crises
This grant is available to cultural groups, LLCs, individual artists, non-profit organizations, and arts collectives. Applicants do not need to be Tempe-based, but their projects must occur in Tempe. The City of Tempe Arts Grants program supports non-profit organizations, schools and individual artists by providing funding for community-initiated, quality and innovative arts programming, and creates opportunities that support the long-term growth of the arts in Tempe.

Develop a project that will take place in Tempe between January – June 2021. Program structures may include, but are not limited to:
Artist residencies in communities
Workshops or panel discussions
Pop-up arts events
Community arts program
Requests may include services of artists and educators, professional services, supplies, stipends, production costs, food, travel, marketing and printing.
Arizona Cultural Group, LLC, individual artist, Non-profit Organization or arts collective providing arts programming in Tempe. An applicant’s current programming must be majority related to arts and culture.
Applicants are only eligible to receive one arts grant from the city of Tempe per year.
